We made the first
Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) panels built
from 100% Pyrenees’s wood.
Main advantages
SOLID CLT has a higher strength to weight ratio than steel and concrete. It is made of several layers of glued wood sheets in a cross shape. It is usually made from pine or fir tree wood. The sheets are glued under high pressure to form large-format solid wood panels. Depending on the structural requirements, 3, 5 or 7 layers are glued up to a maximum thickness of 24 cm.
All the sheets used are subject to a strict quality and resistance selection.
SOLID CLT panels have a surface finish that is visually appealing for projects that incorporate the beauty of natural wood exposed positively enhancing the space.
SOLID CLT is manufactured with sustainably grown wood and it provides important environmental benefits, making this product better than steel and concrete.

Trees extract from the air one of the main gases causing the greenhouse effect: carbon dioxide. They transform this gas into carbon and oxygen storing them in the wood. Trees absorb this CO2 for decades which helps reduce the consumption of fossil fuels. Therefore, timber construction actively fights against climate change.

The value-added chain of Sebastià follows the «0 waste» principle. We take advantage of the 100% of our wood as a raw material, following the basis of ecology.
Efficiency
Reciclatge sense residus
Out techniques allow us to recycle without waste. From each log, we make as much sawn timber as possible and as a result, we obtain our wide range of products, highlighting their durability. We turn waste such as sawdust and chips of wood into biofuels. The resulting biomass is used as fuel for heating systems, as in our own central offices. Thus, Sebastià means an efficient and sustainable way to use of our raw material: wood.

The manufacturing process of the CLT panels begins when the wood enters our facilities next to the specifications of the architects. Our state-of-the-art machinery and the professionalism of our workers does the rest: SOLID CLT panels with the maximum structural and quality features.

Our panels are transported by our truck fleet, in the specific order so that their installation in the work is quick and easy. The control over our product is maximum, from the obtaining of the raw material to the final installation.
